TRUE LOVE
It is a fact that most men end up not marrying the woman they
truly loved, they marry the woman that is around when they are ready to marry.
This is not
just a fact I pulled from a book I read, it is something that has come to stay
in the archives of my memory. It is something that will always pop up when I
see a guy fondle a girl, when I see a couple walking down the road with hands
placed on each other’s waist. It is something that will always pop up when I
hear “I LOVE YOU”.
It is truism that “I LOVE YOU”
is the biggest lie I have ever heard. Those three words filter through my ear
on daily basis. Even my girlfriend told me “I LOVE YOU” in the morning before sleeping with a guy that was
richer than me in the evening.
For most
guys it is just the words that should be said before the girl would assent to
join in bed service. “I LOVE YOU” have
for long lost its value.
None of us
truly understand love, even I don’t understand it. Forget about Romeo &
Juliet, Jack & Rose. The only man that ever loved and showed it is Jesus
Christ. His love for us led him to die on the cross. He didn’t die because he
knew he would resurrect, he died because his death would save mankind.
Today, most
of us love for benefits, we love because he is rich, she has a long hair, he
dresses smart, he has a car, and she is slim. We just love for the most useless
reasons.
No wonder we
hate the same persons we claimed to love, the moment he goes poor, she cuts her
hair, he wears rumpled clothes, he treks to your house, and she grows fat.
Love is that
natural abstract feeling that we barely understand. There can’t be TRUE or LIE in love, because love is just LOVE.
